Description

STL 3d models for a wearable Hornet mask, based on the details seen in Silksong.
Scaled for adult women with a head circumference of approx. 55cm. Update Nov 28: Larger head opening version included for head circumference up to 65cm at 100% scale.
There’s a fast 3dprintable ring scale included with the download in which you can determine if the head opening is the right size for you. Scale and reprint the ring until you’re happy with the scale then print the mask using the same scale percentage. Full mask stl preview also included if you want to cut it up yourself.
Part STL files are already scaled and orientated in the best print quality orientation.
Parts are scaled based on a 3dprinter with at least 250x250x250 mm build volume at 100% scale.
Recommended filament: LW-PLA (colorfabb).
You can also get the mask printed in one piece for you in lightweight filament. Please email for this!

Recommended post-processing:
Snip off pieces of 1.75mm filament and stick them into the holes in the edges to give you an easy way of aligning and gluing the edges together.
You can use superglue (with accelerant), epoxy glue or any other strong glue you like to fasten parts together.

Sand your 3D prints using 100-150 grit sandpaper, with royal use of primer or filler spray in-between to get a smooth surface. When you’re satisfied with the results, your last layer should be a primer spray, before painting it with acrylics, spraypaints etc. Protect your paint with a varnish spray in satin or gloss.
Glue in a ring or pieces of upholstery foam or eva foam to position the mask on your head. Use some thin black pantyhose fabric to hotglue in the eyes, or 3dprint a flat piece of black mesh using zero top/bottom layers and a high infill grid pattern and glue it into the eyes.

Finished photo was made with a one-piece mask print.
