Description

STL 3d models for 3dprinting your own Hornet needle, based on the details seen in Silksong.
This needle has an oval shape, there is no diamond crease in the center. The needle slightly tapers in a curve to the point end.
Total length of 150cm (about 5ft).
Part STL files are already scaled and orientated in the best print quality orientation.
Parts are scaled based on a 3dprinter with at least 250x250x250 mm build volume at 100% scale.
Recommended filament: PETG.
You can also get the needle printed in two pieces (blade and handle plus pvc pipe) for you in PETG filament. Please email for this!

Recommended post-processing:
You need approx 100cm pvc pipe with an outer diameter of 27mm. (the 3/4 inch PR 200 charlotte pipe from home depot fits). 3/4 in this context refers to the class of pipe and doesnt match any of the nominal dimensions for the charlotte pipe PR200, so doublecheck your nominal dimensions to make sure it fits.
Use the offset slots to align and glue the parts together.
You can use superglue (with accelerant), epoxy glue or any other strong glue you like to fasten parts together.

Sand your 3D prints using 100-150 grit sandpaper, with royal use of primer or filler spray in-between to get a smooth surface. When you’re satisfied with the results, your last layer should be a primer spray, before painting it with acrylics, spraypaints etc. Protect your paint with a varnish spray in satin or gloss.

Finished photo was made with a one-piece needle print.
