STL models Fyr’Alath the Dreamrender (World of Warcraft) Fyrakk

$9.00

(blade cut parts pending!)

STL 3d models for Fyr’Alath the Dreamrender (World of Warcraft) Fyrakk’s weapon. This is a very large 3dprintable weapon, large printer recommended 300mm or more. Cut and slotted parts included for printers with a mimimum 300mm cubic volume.
Whenever a file states (4x) or something similar in the file name, print that item the amount of times noted. You may need to mirror some of these to fit the other side, notably the covers.

The weapon needs to be completed with a single long round cilinder rod with a diameter of 29-30mm, pvc pipe works well if you want to wire a button.

The base has hollow areas to allow wiring for leds and battery. If your handle has a slightly smaller or larger diameter, scale up or down the files accordingly (e.g. your handle is 27mm diameter, scale down all files by 10percent)

Extra materials needed: 140cm long rod 30mm diameter, some petg clear plastic to cover the runes, strong glue such as 2 part epoxy, 2x M6 bolt and screw (about 20mm long), heatgun to heat and shape some of the pieces that are printed flat.

STL 3d models for Fyr’Alath the Dreamrender (World of Warcraft) Fyrakk’s weapon. This is a very large 3dprintable weapon, large printer recommended 300mm or more, with 0,6mm nozzle.

Recommend to print the blade transparent with enough walls to avoid infill.

Recommended print settings:
The STL files are ready to print, and are already oriented for an optimal 3d print result.  If you’d like to install leds into the blade, print it in transparent filament with 0% infill. Because the weapon is so large, 0.6mm or 0.8mm nozzle recommended to speed up printing all parts. I recommend minimum 3 wall layers and 10% infill for all non-transparent parts, use a brim to avoid warped corners. These models were optimized for 0.6mm nozzle, preferred to work with the model wall thickness (especially the translucent parts)

Recommended post-processing:
The pieces can be glued together with superglue, I recommend using an accelerant spray to ensure a strong and quick connection.
You can also use epoxy or any other strong glue you like.
You need to fit a 29 to 30mm diameter pipe to the hilt and pommel, of atleast 150cm long.
The ‘decorations’ pieces are printed flat, and need to be heated with a heatgun to shape fit it to the base.
The base is open on the inside, you can use the inside tube in clear plastic to close it up or simply leave it open for a smoke machine/leds etc etc.

Painting instructions:
Sand your 3D prints using 100-150 grit sandpaper, with royal use of primer or filler spray inbetween to get a smooth surface. When you’re satisfied with the results, your last layer should be a primer spray, before painting it with acrylics (use glass paints or window spraypaint for clear prints). Protect your paintjob with a varnish spray in satin or gloss.
