Karlach and Hellboy crossover outfit I made early 2026!
The coat was a repurposed castiel trenchcoat that I pot dyed using ritdye (might be for synthetic, might have mixed both synthetic and organic dyes, not sure of the fiber content) darker brown. I added a bunch of painting to make it look weathered and also added an extra shoulder flap section + custom leather stamped decals to the coat, with real leather cuff and straps.
The horns are 3dprinted with the STL from shadowfall workshop, i briefly considered designing them myself but theyre very intricate and i think shadowfalls version is the most accurate available.
I did modify this 3d model to use similar magnet peg system I use in my own horns, with a magnet peg headband that is sewn to my wig and drops down my forehead so I don’t need glue to attach the horns and the horns can be removed from the wig.
The wig is from aliexpress
The chest is made with creaturecast superflex rubber (synthetic latex), tinted with airbrush paints and thickened and brushed into a direct 3dprinted negative mould that I designed. A ribcage shadow was embedded into the rubber using black fabric and more rubber to bond the layer. I added leds using 5v led strip glued behind the chest
Tail is made with creaturecast superflex rubber as well, brushed into a 2 part 3dprinted negative mould, left open to dry. Then flex foamit rubber was poured into the open mould and the mould was then closed (this didn’t go really well and i ended up patching a bunch of stuff).
Makeup is proaiir alcohol hybrid blood red (and mixed with some other red tints I had so it wasnt as bright red), applied with a dense foundation brush (kabuki brush style). The red proaiir doesnt cover smoothly, kinda patchy, so i did get sunset powder makeup to get a smooth result. Eyeshadows were used to add definition.
My contacts for this cosplay are uniqso sweety crazy brown (while it says brown, they are very orangy red like the photos). Not wearing them in the photo below.
My ears are from madhouse FX i believe. Applied with prosaide.
Belt, clothes and accessories were thrifted. Belt buckle was 3dprinted.
