STL 3d models for an Angel Blade, as seen in the Supernatural TV show. This includes 1 STL for the blade, 1 STL for the handle, and 1 STL for the connection peg. Total length is scaled to 50cm.
The blade piece is suitable for a printer with at least 300mm height, if your printer is smaller you can cut up the model for the blade.
The blade and the handle can then be glued together using the included peg 3dmodel (6x20mm) as connection.
Recommended print settings:
The STL files are ready to print, and are already oriented for an optimal 3d print result. No supports necessary for all files. Recommended at least 4 walls and 10% infill or more. Use a brim to avoid warped corners if necessary. I use 0.12mm layer height and 50mm/s for a fine print.
The average print time and material weight using these settings are 15 hours and 80 grams of material.
Recommended post-processing:
The pieces can be glued together with superglue, I recommend using an accelerant spray to ensure a strong and quick connection. You can also use glue suitable for 3dprints or epoxy glue.
Sand your 3D prints using 100-150 grit sandpaper, with royal use of primer or filler spray inbetween to get a smooth surface. When you're satisfied with the results, your last layer should be a primer spray, before painting it with acrylics (use glass paints or window spraypaint for clear prints). Protect your paintjob with a varnish spray in satin or gloss.
