FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you make any costumes/custom work/commissions for others?
Usually I only have time available to consider commercial work for events, companies, commercial projects, etc. Commissions for private use are not considered, unless they are eligible based on this list here.
Depending on my current workload, your deadline and your budget, your project may not be feasible at the time. Please send your full project details and deadline to [email protected] or check Appearances and Partners for more information. Be detailed in your project description, I need to know what I’m making to be able to offer you a timeline and quote.
Make sure your deadline offers at least 6-8 weeks of time at the time of the first email and have a contract ready within a week. Rush orders are possible, but will be taken into account when I’m negotiating the price quote.

I have a question about my store order.
If you placed an order on the website for a digital pattern, please send me an email with your order details to [email protected].

We no longer sell on Etsy, my only store is this website. Any webshop elsewhere that may be using my photos are not me and you will not receive a product from my making!
See more store questions, such as shipping and returns questions, here.

I can’t find a certain item in your store!
I’ve sold many different items in the past, sometimes they’re too much work to keep in stock, and sometimes they just weren’t very popular! Please email me to see if I can list it again for you so you can consider buying it.
Sometimes a digital item is now free so don’t forget to check out my downloads page to see if you can find it there!

Do you give or sell any of your patterns or digital files?
Yes, if I do sell certain patterns/files they would be in my store, or available for free on my downloads page. If they are not on either page then they are not available.
There are various reasons for this:
Some patterns/files and 3d models are personal to my own creations.
Some are used to sustain my income as 3dprinted item only, and i would risk losing monthly income.
Some require an intense tutorial to support the project (which I’m not making nor do I want to answer emails for people that have problems with it).
Some aren’t publicly suitable for use due to errors (and I do not want to redo the design).
Some have a high risk of piracy or intellectual property theft for use in 3dprint farms without my consent.
Licensing fees for my paid digital models are not available, all paid digital downloads are for personal use only. Free downloads may be used for commercial purposes.

What kind of 3D printers, tools and materials do you use?
Please check all my tools and materials here.

Can you make this costume? It is my favorite character!
I do not take requests to make specific costumes, unless it’s part of a paid partnering project on behalf of a company or game studio. Each piece takes several dozen hours to make, or sometimes even hundreds of hours, so I pick each project based on my personal motivation and available time to create it!

Can I buy your costumes?
Yes, sometimes. While I create a few costumes per year, some of them I like to keep based on the fan feedback, the difficulty of wearing them or my personal preference for the costume to wear it again to other events. See the costumes I have currently for sale, listed here.

If I decide to sell a costume, I will write the details (price, size, special requirements) on my social media (instagram/facebook stories or twitter). It will then be listed on my website for sale here.
I do not make adjustments when selling them. Many costume parts can be easily adjusted in size or worn with an universal fit, and it will be clearly marked if they cannot be adjusted easily. The size recommendations will be listed on the shop page.
Some costumes will never be sold, because of their low durability/fragility.

Can I borrow or rent a costume?
No, costumes are made for myself and are not suitable to be worn by others. Handcrafted costumes will be damaged when worn every single time, even wearing it myself. Such costumes also come with specific instructions and risks to wear them. Even if you do fit, my answer will always be no, unless the costume is available for purchase and you buy it (it cannot be returned).
However you may possibly hire me wearing a certain costume for a duration such as an event (please email to see if that’s possible).

Can you help me with my project?
I get a lot of messages and requests to help people with their projects! I usually don’t give advice unless it’s a quick question or related to a project I’m doing myself, unfortunately it’s quite stressful and very time-consuming to reply to hundreds of people in detail. Email me a short and concise question that’s direct to the point to get the best chance of advice.

Are you willing to do any event appearances, or other sponsored activities?
Yes, I would love to! Please send me an email at [email protected] and I will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also find more general information about this at Appearances and Partners.
Examples are cosplay competition judge, cosplay workshops and lectures at events, cosplay model for an event or booth etc.

Do you do any trades, collaborations or requests?
No, currently I only accept paid work or paid promotions. This excludes any exchange that would not be considered monetary. Free items sent “for promotion purposes” is not considered payment and I do not guarantee online content exposure in exchange for free products.

Where do I contact you for custom work/commissions?
For commercial work please send an email with your project details to [email protected].

I have a different question
You can send me an email to [email protected], please be descriptive and direct what your question is about. Email is your best chance to get an answer, many messages on social media get overlooked!
